Location Manager - Secured - Chennai

Role Overview

The Branch Manager will own the growth and overall performance of the branch for secured lending offerings. This role covers branch P&L, team leadership, sourcing through DSA and direct channels, maintaining credit quality, and ensuring smooth operations while staying aligned with Aditya Birla Capital’s internal standards and regulatory requirements.

Business and Revenue Management

• Take complete ownership of branch targets for secured loan products and ensure they are achieved.
• Develop, activate, and sustain productivity among DSA partners while keeping retention strong.
• Strengthen direct sourcing by building relationships with local builders, CA networks, connectors, lawyers, and SMEs.
• Handle loan ticket sizes from INR 5 lakh to INR 3 crore, depending on the geography and customer profile.
• Track performance on a daily, monthly, and quarterly basis and implement corrective measures when needed.

Team Leadership

• Lead, coach, and supervise sales and operations teams.
• Improve team productivity, capability, and performance consistency.
• Promote a strong, ethical, and achievement-oriented sales environment.
• Manage hiring, onboarding, training, and periodic performance evaluations.

Credit, Operations, and Service

• Ensure lending decisions follow underwriting standards and risk controls.
• Monitor portfolio quality, delinquency levels, and early risk signals.
• Work closely with credit, legal, and operations teams to support timely disbursement.
• Maintain quick turnaround times and a smooth customer experience.

Compliance and Controls

• Keep the branch compliant with company policies, regulatory rules, and audit expectations.
• Maintain accurate documentation and process discipline across all sourcing channels.

Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the primary owner for the branch.
• Coordinate effectively with regional, credit, operations, and product teams.
• Represent Aditya Birla Capital strongly in the local market and support brand visibility.

Candidate Profile

Applicants should have a graduate degree in any discipline. A postgraduate qualification or MBA in Finance or Marketing is preferred.

The ideal candidate brings 5 to 12 years of experience in secured lending within NBFCs, banks, or HFCs, along with proven branch leadership and team management experience. Strong exposure to DSA channel management and direct sourcing is essential. A good grasp of secured loan products, credit assessment, and documentation is required. Familiarity with the Thoothukudi or Tirunelveli local market is preferred. The role also calls for excellent communication, negotiation, leadership, and execution skills, along with a results-focused mindset.
