Role Overview
City Centre Rotana Doha is seeking a motivated Front Office professional to join the team as a Lobby Ambassador. This role focuses on creating a polished, welcoming arrival and departure experience for guests while maintaining a consistently courteous and efficient service style.
The position is based in Doha, Qatar, at City Centre Rotana Doha.
Key Duties
- Deliver service that is consistently warm, professional, and engaging.
- Remain accessible to guests at all times and serve as a helpful point of contact.
- Represent the Arabian Cultural Connection program by greeting guests at the coffee and dates station and engaging with them appropriately.
- Support the Rotana Service Distinction standards by welcoming guests at the main entrance, escorting them to the check-in area, assisting guests waiting in line, greeting guests heading to breakfast, checking on guest satisfaction, and saying goodbye to departing guests at the main door.
- Use the tablet registration tool to capture guest details while they wait for Front Desk check-in.
- Provide personalized attention to all guests, with special focus on Club Rotana guests, VIPs, and Rotana Rewards members.
- Welcome arriving guests at the main entrance and greet them as they leave their transport.
- Identify opportunities to generate revenue, including restaurant bookings and sales leads.
- Keep current on hotel services and local information so guest questions can be answered accurately.
- Respond quickly, efficiently, and politely to all guest queries.
- Stay informed about hotel offers, promotions, and packages so these can be shared with guests.
Profile and Experience
The preferred candidate will have a diploma or degree in hospitality and prior experience in a hotel Front Office environment. Strong spoken and written English is essential, and knowledge of additional languages will be an advantage.
The right person will be guest-oriented, highly proactive, confident, approachable, and charismatic, with strong interpersonal ability. A smart appearance and well-groomed presentation are also important.
