Role Overview

The Litigation Paralegal will support civil litigation matters by organizing medical records, preparing summaries, and assisting with case documentation. This position requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy team setting.

Key Duties

  • Review and condense medical records, billing files, and related documents into clear medical chronologies and bill summaries.
  • Work closely with clients, insurance carriers, and attorneys to keep matters moving smoothly.
  • Use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, and other Office tools competently.
  • Stay organized, manage tasks effectively, and maintain productivity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Handle work independently while contributing positively to a friendly team atmosphere.

Qualifications

Applicants should have at least 3 years of civil litigation experience and prior exposure to medical summaries and bill summaries. Experience in insurance defense litigation, bodily injury cases, or general liability matters is preferred. Familiarity with reviewing and summarizing medical records and bills is also an advantage. Strong written and verbal communication skills, solid organization, basic medical knowledge, and an understanding of Florida court procedures are all preferred.
