Role overview

This full-time non-management position is based in Al Mazraa, Wadi Khadija, Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. The role sits within the Golf, Fitness, & Entertainment category and is not remote.

What you will do

You will help keep the swimming area safe by watching for guests who may need assistance and responding with proper rescue methods when required. The job also involves monitoring for hazardous conditions, unsafe behavior, or swimmers in difficulty, while ensuring the recreation area rules are followed.

When guests are unable to participate safely, you should inform a supervisor or manager. You may also need to support injured guests until emergency medical services arrive. In addition, you will help create a welcoming and relaxing guest experience, manage towels as required, and keep the pool deck clean through washing, mopping, and general upkeep.

You are expected to report accidents, injuries, unsafe conditions, and any required safety issues. The role also includes following company policies and procedures, protecting confidential information and company property, and helping uphold the service culture by greeting guests professionally, assisting people with disabilities, and communicating clearly and respectfully with guests and team members. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Working requirements

This role involves long periods of standing, sitting, or walking during a shift, as well as moving quickly when situations demand it. You must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds without assistance and more than 75 pounds with assistance. The job may require bending, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, and handling objects of different shapes and weights, along with working on slippery, uneven, or sloped surfaces and using ladders, stairs, or service ramps.

Qualifications and certifications

A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred. No prior related work experience and no supervisory experience are required. The position requires CPR certification, first aid certification, fitness equipment-related certification, and any additional certification or training required by local and state agencies.
