Job description

Role overview

This opportunity is offered through a hiring partner on behalf of the employer, with the partner handling applications and the next steps in the process. The role is based in Ireland and is fully remote. As a Lifecycle Specialist focused on Time & Attendance, you will support employee leave, attendance, and working-time matters across several countries and legal frameworks.

The position blends HR operations, compliance awareness, and service delivery. You will work with internal teams and external stakeholders to guide employees and clients accurately, manage complex cases, and help improve global HR processes. The role also involves strengthening data quality, keeping practices aligned with legal requirements, and finding better ways of working through automation and the responsible use of AI-enabled tools.

Key accountabilities

  • Oversee employee lifecycle cases involving sick leave, family leave, working hours, public holidays, and time recording, while making sure the handling is accurate, compliant, and employee-friendly.
  • Provide dependable guidance to employees and clients on labour law, leave entitlements, contractual commitments, and employment rules across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Help roll out updates to legislation and internal policies, including changes driven by collective bargaining agreements, and support related projects and initiatives.
  • Work closely with payroll, legal, finance, and outside authorities to keep employee lifecycle processes efficient and compliant.
  • Take part in audits, compliance checks, and operational work that affects employees in different countries.
  • Keep internal documentation current so that policies and procedures reflect legal and regulatory changes.
  • Look for ways to simplify workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and use AI-assisted tools to improve speed, quality, and consistency.
  • Manage sensitive employee information with care, professionalism, and strict respect for data protection standards.

Required profile

  • Background in Human Resources, Payroll, Employee Lifecycle Management, or a closely related area, with clear experience in leave and attendance administration.
  • Good knowledge of employment law, employee relations, and compliance expectations across more than one country or jurisdiction.
  • Experience dealing with complex absence situations, such as long-term sick leave, supporting documentation, payroll impact, and coordination with relevant stakeholders, is a strong advantage.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to negotiate, resolve conflict, and manage stakeholders sensitively.
  • Professional-level English is required; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-moving, international, fully remote setting.
  • Strong organisation and exceptional attention to detail, especially for documentation and data accuracy.
  • Comfort using collaboration and project tools such as Slack, Notion, Zendesk, Google Workspace, and similar platforms.
  • Interest in process improvement, automation, and responsible AI use, including exposure to AI-supported tools in HR or operational work.
  • Capability to juggle several priorities while maintaining strong service quality and compliance standards.

Benefits and compensation

  • Annual pay range of USD 29,750 to USD 67,000, depending on location, experience, skills, and market conditions.
  • Fully remote setup with the option to work from anywhere.
  • Flexible hours supported by an asynchronous work culture.
  • Flexible paid time off.
  • 16 weeks of paid parental leave.
  • Mental health and wellbeing support.
  • Equity participation via stock options.
  • Learning and development budget.
  • Home office budget plus provided IT equipment.
  • Budget for local coworking spaces and in-person social events.
  • Opportunities for internal movement, career progression, and international collaboration.
  • An inclusive, diverse workplace with a strong focus on employee wellbeing and professional growth.
