About the opportunity
Cardmarket is looking for a part-time Legal Research Assistant to strengthen its Legal Department in Berlin. The role is focused on legal research and analysis so the business can make well-informed decisions, stay compliant, and improve internal processes.

What you will do
- Carry out detailed legal research across German and EU law, and where needed, international law.
- Review legal updates, judicial decisions, and regulatory changes, then present them in a concise, organized format.
- Prepare internal legal notes and assessments for stakeholders.
- Help draft, refine, and maintain policies, guidelines, and templates used within the company.
- Support compliance-related initiatives, including work connected to consumer protection, e-commerce, and data protection rules.
- Track legislative developments and help the legal team adjust to new legal obligations on time.
- Work with teams such as Product, Marketing, and Customer Support on legal and regulatory matters.
- Assist with individual legal questions and cases while working under supervision.
What the employer is looking for
- You are studying law or have already completed a comparable legal qualification, such as an LL.B., LL.M., First State Examination, or Second State Examination.
- You can explain complex legal topics clearly and briefly.
- You have strong analytical ability and can perform careful, structured legal research.
- You are interested in commercially oriented legal work.
- Experience or knowledge in e-commerce, data protection, IT law, intellectual property, employment law, or tax law is an advantage.
- You communicate fluently in both German and English, spoken and written.
- You must be present in Berlin for this role.
