About the role

American Express Global Business Travel offers a collaborative, inclusive environment where travel professionals can make a meaningful impact. This position is part of a premium service team that supports high-value corporate clients with thoughtful, timely travel arrangements.

Although the role emphasizes a service-first mindset and strong communication, it is currently described as a home-based position, with the location noted as Gurgaon, India.

What you will do

  • Plan and arrange corporate travel for both individual travelers and groups.
  • Book domestic and international trips across air, rail, road, and hotel accommodations, including more complex itineraries.
  • Work with Global Distribution Systems such as Sabre, Apollo, Amadeus, and/or Galileo; training may be provided where needed.
  • Handle customer communication across phone, chat, email, and back-office tools.
  • Serve as a dependable travel advisor by recommending suitable options, offering add-on services when appropriate, and aligning with each client’s travel policy.
  • Collaborate with teammates to achieve service goals such as customer satisfaction, adherence standards, and performance metrics.

What the employer is looking for

  • Hands-on experience in travel, preferably in the business travel segment, along with knowledge of fare structures and ticketing rules for air, car, and hotel bookings.
  • A strong commitment to high-quality client service and the ability to anticipate customer needs.
  • Practical experience using one or more major GDS platforms: Sabre, Apollo, Amadeus, and/or Galileo.
  • Clear and professional written as well as verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Integrity and care in handling personal traveler information.
  • Solid understanding of the travel industry, including business travel, leisure travel, or airline reservations.
  • Ability to resolve customer concerns efficiently and independently.
  • A cooperative mindset and openness to feedback.
