Job description
Role overview
This position supports government relations, immigration, labor, licensing, and regulatory work for GE Vernova entities and employees in Saudi Arabia. The purpose of the role is to keep day-to-day operations compliant and running smoothly by managing government transactions accurately and on time, while coordinating closely with public authorities and internal teams.
Key responsibilities
- Manage immigration-related processes such as work permits, Iqama applications and renewals, sponsorship transfers, changes to job titles, and visa processing.
- Coordinate exit and re-entry visas, final exit formalities, dependent services, and updates to passports.
- Assist with business visas, visit visas, and employee mobilization requirements.
- Help employees complete medical checks, biometrics, appointments, and other government-mandated steps.
- Work with official platforms including Absher, Qiwa, Muqeem, GOSI, MOFA, MISA, MOC, Municipality systems, SPL, and National Address services.
- Support the renewal and upkeep of company registrations and permits such as CR, MISA, Municipality, Civil Defense, Chamber of Commerce, and related approvals.
- Keep employee files, visa logs, and documentation trackers accurate and up to date.
- Assist with attestations, certificates of origin, and submission of formal paperwork.
- Liaise with HR, Legal, Finance, and Shared Services on government-related matters.
- Monitor work assigned to external immigration service providers and ensure timely follow-up.
- Handle government fee payments and support reconciliation activities with Finance and Treasury.
- Ensure activities align with Saudi labor regulations, Saudization requirements (Nitaqat), and internal company standards.
- Track government notices, violations, penalties, and alerts through portals such as Qiwa, Muqeem, and GOSI, and help resolve them.
- Support government inspections, audits, and responses to official queries.
- Carry out additional government-related duties as required.
- Contribute to process improvements and participate in assigned projects.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or diploma in a relevant discipline from an accredited institution, or a high school qualification paired with relevant work experience.
- At least 5 years of experience handling Saudi government relations, immigration, and labor-related procedures.
- Practical knowledge of Saudi government platforms such as Absher, Qiwa, Muqeem, GOSI, MOFA, MISA, MOC, Municipality, and similar portals.
- Hands-on exposure to visa processing and government transaction support.
- Strong communication and organizational abilities.
- Eligibility to work in Saudi Arabia without requiring company sponsorship or a time-limited work arrangement.
- Preferred experience with multinational organizations or environments with multiple legal entities.
- Preferred background in coordinating with third-party immigration service providers.
