Job description

Role overview

This position is focused on managing UAE government relations and mobility administration for GE Vernova entities and employees. It covers immigration, labor, licensing, and regulatory coordination, while ensuring that all processes are handled accurately, on time, and in line with local requirements.

The role involves working with multiple UAE authorities such as MOHRE, ICP/Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Ports Security, GDRFA, Department of Economic Development (DED), free zone authorities including JAFZA, TECOM, ADGM, DMCC, as well as health authorities, municipalities, police, and chambers of commerce. It also requires close collaboration with HR Operations, HR Managers, Legal, Shared Services, Finance, and an external immigration service provider.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage immigration-related services, including residency visas, labor cards, and renewals.
  • Administer Emirates ID applications, renewals, and associated procedures.
  • Process visa cancellations, visa status updates, and exit formalities.
  • Support business visa and visit visa cases.
  • Work across government portals such as MOHRE, ICA, GDRFA, and similar systems.
  • Help maintain company licenses, registrations, and related renewals.
  • Monitor expiry dates for visas and documents, and alert relevant stakeholders in time.
  • Coordinate document attestations and official submissions.
  • Arrange employee appointments for medical tests, biometrics, and government visits.
  • Keep records and files accurate, complete, and up to date.
  • Liaise with internal teams on government and regulatory matters.
  • Support processing of government-related payments.
  • Ensure adherence to labor laws, Emiratization requirements, and company policies.
  • Assist with establishment cards, labor files, and responses to government inspections or queries.

Required qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree or diploma in a relevant discipline from a recognized college or university, or a high school qualification combined with relevant experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in UAE government relations and immigration work.
  • Strong familiarity with UAE government portals and administrative processes.
  • Professional fluency in both Arabic and English.
  • Good communication abilities and strong organizational skills.

Preferred background

  • Prior exposure to multinational organizations or environments with multiple legal entities.
  • Experience working with external immigration vendors in the UAE.
