Role overview

TVS Motor Company is seeking a Location Lead for Estate Management at its Nalagarh plant in Himachal Pradesh. The role involves taking ownership of estate master planning, business continuity planning, facility management planning, and sustainability planning, while also leading estate operations and guiding the estate management team toward strong performance.

What this role is expected to deliver

• Align estate management priorities with overall business goals and help facility management act as a productivity enabler.
• Ensure employees have a safe, environmentally responsible, clean, and engaging workplace at the earliest possible time and within approved cost limits.
• Own and maintain estate master plans, continuity plans, facility management plans, and sustainability frameworks.
• Lead estate operations, manage the team, and monitor delivery against expected performance standards.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders at HOD and peer level.
• Set up dependable and cost-efficient vendor support for different estate-related activities.
• Support land acquisition activities as required by management.
• Drive projects and coordinate with cross-functional teams to achieve results.
• Act as the escalation point for customer complaints and ensure timely closure to customer satisfaction.
• Maintain facility standards and prevent any production disruption caused by civil failures.
• Keep the estate management budget on track.
• Introduce modern practices and technical solutions in the estate management domain, including data, systems, and IT-based tools.
• Ensure housekeeping standards remain excellent at all times.
• Lead waste reduction initiatives and improve sustainability outcomes.
• Maintain the estate in an audit-ready 5S condition.
• Own the estate-wide business continuity plan and keep it effective.
• Assess additional facility needs from users and recommend practical options or actions.
• Develop and implement sustainable strategies and associated frameworks for the estate.
• Contribute to community impact initiatives in the surrounding area.
• Develop team capability, review potential periodically, and build successors who are ready for higher responsibilities.

Experience

This position requires 8+ years of experience in estate management, facility management, civil works, or related areas.
