Role overview

This position sits within Baker Hughes’ Assembly, Repair and Maintenance (ARMO) organization supporting WLS operations in Doha, Qatar. The role focuses on leading safe, dependable, and cost-efficient repair and maintenance activity for equipment used in the field. It is part of a cross-functional, global team working with advanced energy technologies.

The internal title for this opportunity is Services Experienced Professional - ARMO Management.

What you will do

  • Keep all workshop and operational activity fully aligned with Baker Hughes health, safety, environment, and quality standards.
  • Oversee day-to-day workshop activity to support business continuity and match production with operational demand.
  • Partner with the materials function to plan requirements, place orders, and secure timely delivery of parts for ARMO work.
  • Track key performance indicators, identify improvement opportunities, and drive stronger results in the assigned area.
  • Manage budget compliance and propose needs related to workspace, facilities, and tooling.
  • Coordinate specifications and purchasing for capital items needed to support operations efficiently.
  • Plan, organize, and direct maintenance work, including equipment installation, preventive maintenance, and repairs to facilities and equipment.
  • Build and maintain a capable technical team by hiring, training, and developing people to match workload needs.
  • Handle special assignments and additional projects as needed.
  • Communicate regularly with internal and external stakeholders across the region and globally.

Candidate profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related equivalent field.
  • At least 4 years of experience in services, plus a minimum of 3 additional years in Assembly, Repair, Maintenance, and Overhaul.
  • Proven leadership ability and strong analytical thinking.
  • Working knowledge of ARMO processes, procedures, and implementation.
  • Ability to work independently, stay motivated, and lead a small to medium ARMO team and shop operation.
  • Fluent English communication skills.

The role follows a standard 5/2 working schedule.
