Role Summary
Becker is looking for a well-organized, proactive Team Assistant to support the Collections and Foreclosure team in a fast-moving, professional environment. This position calls for strong communication, careful attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while keeping work accurate and on schedule.
Responsibilities
- Prepare a range of correspondence, including retainer letters, satisfaction of lien letters, and disbursement letters.
- Obtain title reports as needed.
- Work with process servers to coordinate service of complaints.
- Arrange hearing dates with opposing counsel and schedule hearings.
- Handle e-filing and e-recording of pleadings and documents in multiple Florida counties.
- Support attorney e-signing workflows and oversee outgoing mail.
- Manage check requests, deposits, file closures, and other routine administrative matters.
- Provide phone coverage support to paralegals.
- Monitor incoming items, set priorities, respond promptly, and help the team meet deadlines in a paperless environment with organized electronic records and efficient digital task handling.
- Take on additional duties as assigned to support the position and team needs.
Requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Excellent organization and a sharp eye for detail.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and handle high volumes through shared mailboxes.
- Comfort using Microsoft Office Suite and PDF editing tools.
- Prior exposure to collections and foreclosure software is preferred.
- Knowledge of iManage, FileSite, and Aderant is an added advantage.
- Professional demeanor with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma is required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in business, Legal Studies, or a related field is preferred.
- At least 2–3 years of relevant experience is required.
