Role overview
Aramark is hiring Kitchen Porters for a client location in Cork, County Cork, Ireland. This is a full-time on-site role with a 39-hour weekly contract, spread across 5 days out of 7. Team members must be fully flexible, as shift patterns can change based on operational requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times, with particular attention to HACCP requirements.
- Accept food deliveries only after checking that products meet quality expectations.
- Store food correctly in line with hygiene rules and maintain FIFO stock rotation.
- Carry out cleaning tasks for service areas, equipment, and furniture as needed.
- Prepare service counters and related serving points before use.
- Ensure food items and equipment are put away properly after service.
- Keep personal grooming, appearance, and uniform in line with company standards.
- Support the company’s health and safety policies and help put them into practice.
- Track and log food and equipment temperatures.
- Assist in other kitchen areas on-site during quieter periods in hospitality.
- Stay alert to kitchen and surrounding-area hazards and report them to the line manager.
- Take on additional duties assigned by the line manager to support smooth department operations.
Requirements
- Interest in food and customer service.
- Prior work experience is expected.
- Working knowledge of food hygiene practices, including HACCP.
- Good command of English.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule across 5 days out of 7.
Additional information
This role is a 39-hour per week contract. Shifts may vary depending on business needs.
