Role overview
This hybrid Key Account Manager position is a hands-on hunter sales role focused on Experian’s data management offerings. The role involves selling into a mix of long-standing enterprise accounts and large new-logo prospects across selected industry verticals. It sits within a high-performing team that has repeatedly exceeded sales targets, and it comes at a time when new capabilities are being introduced to the A/NZ market following global success with Experian Data Quality.
What the role involves
- Own the full sales cycle from initial cold outreach through to deal closure.
- Drive a consistent level of customer engagement, with a target of 25 customer-facing meetings per month across new business and opportunity progression.
- Build and close software sales opportunities in a structured, repeatable way.
- Navigate complex deals involving multiple stakeholders across both business and IT teams.
- Focus on selling Data Quality solutions, including data validation, data management, and data governance technologies.
- Work closely with clients and prospects to understand their business needs and identify commercial opportunities.
- Generate new contacts and opportunities within existing accounts.
- Report to the Enterprise Sales Lead and manage your own pipeline, results, and personal development.
- Develop into a trusted subject matter expert for clients.
- Take part in SPIN and STRONGMAN sales training, along with other internal sales workshops.
Candidate profile
The right person will be a confident new-business seller who is comfortable booking and running meetings independently, with or without support from management or presales teams. The role is best suited to someone with at least 8 years of experience and exposure to enterprise software sales.
You should be naturally curious in your discovery approach, able to ask strong questions, and motivated to understand challenges, requirements, and growth opportunities. A strong sales methodology and a genuine desire to develop further are important for success in this role.
Benefits and rewards
- Novated leasing and salary packaging options
- Competitive compensation with bonus and commission potential
- Core benefits such as an Experian shares discount and wellness programme
- Flexible hybrid working model
- Flexible leave, including volunteer time off, personal leave, and paid holidays
- 17 weeks of paid parental leave, family care leave, and up to 5 study leave days
