Role overview

This opportunity is for a video editor who can shape a lively pop music video into a polished final cut. The footage features lip-sync and dance performances captured on a Sony FX3 across several locations. The ideal person will bring a strong sense of timing, energy, and visual storytelling, using fast cuts, vivid colour work, and only light visual effects to support the performance.

The finished edit should reflect the upbeat, contemporary feel of modern pop and take stylistic cues from artists such as Charli XCX, Doja Cat, Conan Gray, and Troye Sivan. Accuracy in lip-sync is essential, and the completed video needs to be ready for release within one month. This project is part of an ongoing solo artist music release, with the goal of creating a memorable and visually striking result.

Responsibilities

Turn the raw footage into a smooth, engaging music video edit.
Use quick cuts and lively pacing that fit the rhythm and mood of the track.
Carry out colour grading to create a bold, modern pop look.
Add minimal visual effects where they improve the overall presentation.
Maintain exact lip-sync throughout the final cut.
Export and deliver the finished video in the required release formats.
Complete the project within a one-month turnaround.

Requirements

Demonstrated background in editing music videos, ideally in pop or rock.
A portfolio that shows creative editing, colour grading, and strong visual storytelling.
Comfort using professional editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.
Experience handling footage from a Sony FX3 or a comparable camera system.
Ability to match the style of references such as Charli XCX, Doja Cat, and Troye Sivan.
Strong attention to detail, particularly for timing and lip-sync precision.
Ability to work independently and produce quality results to deadline.
Ready to begin immediately and finish the project within one month.
