Social Status is hiring a Junior Videographer / Photographer in Malvern, Victoria. This position is a part-time role of 2 to 3 days per week, with pay set at $55,000 to $65,000 plus superannuation on a pro rata basis.

What the role involves
In this position, you will support the creation of high-quality social media content by helping plan shoots, attending client sessions, capturing still and video assets, and turning raw material into polished social content. You will work closely with the Head Videographer, Account Managers, and the creative team.
The work is varied and hands-on, with tasks changing from week to week. You may be filming clients on location one day, then editing short-form videos or producing content for the agency’s own channels the next.
Core duties
- Prepare for and attend client photography and videography sessions
- Capture strong-quality photo and video assets
- Edit videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and similar platforms
- Refine and optimise photographs for social media publishing
- Support brainstorming sessions and shoot preparation
- Monitor social trends and spot ideas that can be used for clients
- Create content for the agency’s own social media presence
- Work with Account Managers so content stays aligned with client goals
- Handle several content projects at the same time
