The Role

As a Junior UX Researcher, you will be an integral part of our UX Research team, collaborating closely with the Experimentation team. Your primary focus will be on processing and analyzing qualitative and quantitative research data to derive actionable insights for our clients. You will be responsible for executing both qualitative and quantitative research studies to delve into the behavioral psychology and usability of digital and omnichannel experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct qualitative and quantitative research studies for clients, employing methodologies such as 1:1 interviews, diary studies, usability tests, secondary research, competitor analysis, surveys, and journey mapping, utilizing Conversion's proprietary frameworks.
  • Process, analyze, and synthesize data derived from research activities.
  • Develop and prepare materials that effectively summarize key findings for stakeholders.
  • Confidently present research findings and insights to various audiences.
  • Collaborate with Conversion's Experimentation Consultants and Designers to identify opportunities for leveraging user research insights.

Requirements

  • Completion of 3+ years of post-secondary education.
  • Minimum of 6 months of practical experience in applying qualitative and quantitative research methods, including in-depth interviews, usability testing, diary studies, surveys, and card sorting.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating complex subjects clearly to team members and clients, and delivering compelling presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand business contexts, define research scopes and designs, execute research plans, analyze findings, and present actionable recommendations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the aptitude to quickly formulate recommendations based on both qualitative and quantitative evidence.
  • Excellent project and organizational management skills for coordinating research efforts across multiple projects.
  • A proactive, self-motivated, and flexible approach with a passion for driving results in a team-oriented environment.
  • Familiarity with research tools such as usertesting.com, dscout, and Qualtrics.
  • Proficiency with online collaboration tools including Asana, Google Docs, Google Analytics, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Additional Information

The typical hiring range for this role is $68,000 - $75,000 annually. This range is determined by our compensation philosophy, internal equity, and is complemented by a competitive total rewards package. The final base pay will be influenced by the candidate's skills, knowledge, and experience.
