Role overview
Marathon TS is hiring a Training Specialist to support the CASTLE-NET program for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). The position is remote and requires an active Secret clearance. The selected professional will help design, deliver, and assess training initiatives for end users and IT staff within the USACE enterprise environment.
This role centers on encouraging adoption of CASTLE-NET services and technologies, improving knowledge transfer, and making sure users are equipped to work effectively with the platform. You will partner with program leaders and stakeholders to understand learning needs, build training content, facilitate live and virtual sessions, and review how well the training performs.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze training needs and determine where knowledge gaps exist across user groups.
- Create learning assets such as training guides, presentations, user references, and quick-job aids.
- Lead classroom-style and virtual training sessions for end users and technical personnel.
- Help with onboarding activities and broader end-user training efforts.
- Arrange training calendars, session timing, and related logistics.
- Gather participant input and assess whether the training is effective.
- Revise training content as the program evolves or feedback indicates improvements are needed.
- Collaborate with technical and operational teams to ensure the information being taught is accurate.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in training delivery methods and learning content.
- Keep training records, documentation, and related files organized and current.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 4 years of experience in training, instructional design, adult learning, or workforce development.
- Hands-on experience developing training materials and delivering instruction.
- Strong ability to present information clearly and facilitate group learning.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and virtual collaboration tools.
- Ability to work independently while managing several training efforts at the same time.
- Active Secret clearance.
Preferred qualifications
- Background supporting federal government programs.
- Experience providing training related to IT or technology environments.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow, ITSM, or other enterprise IT systems.
- ATD, CPTD, or a similar training credential.
Compensation
The expected pay range is $68,000 to $75,000 per year, depending on benefits.
