Junior QS/Estimator

Role

• Examine tender packs, specifications, drawings, and client needs to build a clear understanding of each bid.
• Develop detailed pricing estimates and commercial quotations.
• Prepare tender submissions together with the technical information needed to support them.
• Track estimating queries and all correspondence related to tenders.
• Keep opportunities, quotations, and project data up to date in Salesforce and other internal platforms.
• File and manage project and commercial records in an organised manner.
• Assist with commercial oversight across several live projects at once.
• Assess contract wording to highlight commercial exposure, responsibilities, and potential risks.

Requirements

• Background in estimating, quantity surveying, or commercial support within construction, engineering, or a similar field.
• Good numeracy, analytical ability, and commercial judgement.
• Capability to read and interpret technical drawings, tender documents, and specifications.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and CRM software.
• Able to juggle several tenders and deadlines at the same time.
• Very accurate with a strong eye for detail.
• Can work on own initiative as well as contribute effectively in a team.
