Role overview

As a Junior Power System Engineer, you will work alongside experienced project teams and gradually take on responsibility for practical power system studies. The position is designed to help you build knowledge of how transmission networks are planned, assessed, and improved to support the energy transition.

Key activities

• Assist with the development of power system consulting services in Saudi Arabia.
• Collect and organize the data needed for studies and analyses.
• Create, maintain, and verify power system models.
• Support studies involving renewable energy and battery storage integration.
• Run power system simulations such as load flow, short circuit, hosting capacity, and transient stability analyses.
• Prepare well-structured technical reports and presentations.
• As you grow in the role, contribute to client discussions and proposal work together with senior specialists.

Candidate profile

EGI is seeking early-career engineers and recent graduates who are motivated to learn and develop in a consulting environment.

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a closely related field.
• 0 to 3 years of experience; fresh graduates are welcome.
• Foundational understanding of power systems and transmission networks.
• Any initial experience with tools such as PowerFactory or PSS®E would be an advantage.
• Curious, proactive, and keen to build both technical and consulting capabilities.
• Comfortable collaborating in a team and working across cultures.
• Strong English communication skills; Arabic is considered a plus.

Location and mobility

The position is based in Riyadh. Travel mobility is approximately 10% worldwide, depending on project requirements.
