Role Overview

This position is for a Junior Power BI Developer working remotely from Canada on a contractual basis. The role entails comprehensive management and execution of Power BI-related tasks including migration, enhancement, and the design of dashboards and reports to meet client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the entire lifecycle of Power BI projects from migration and optimization to dashboard and report creation.
Engage with client representatives to understand their needs, establish key performance indicators, and develop technical solutions accordingly.
Design scalable Power BI solutions incorporating semantic models, DAX calculations, and dataflows.
Lead efforts in governance, optimize licensing, and enhance the performance of Power BI resources.
Provide guidance and mentoring to offshore team members, ensuring alignment with project deadlines and objectives.
Utilize AI tools such as CodeExpress to analyze usage patterns and streamline reports.

Required Qualifications and Skills

A minimum of three years' experience in business intelligence and analytics.
Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and familiarity with Azure Data Services such as Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, and Databricks.
Strong expertise in data modeling, setting up ETL processes, and managing the report life cycle.
Experience integrating AI and machine learning features in BI projects is advantageous.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
