Junior Operations Lead - EMEA market

Role overview

As the Operations Team Lead, you will oversee the daily running of field-based data collection driving teams. Reporting to the Country Manager, you will help maintain strong standards across quality, safety, and efficiency, while also supporting ongoing performance improvements. In this role, you will serve as an important point of coordination between field teams, vendors or partners, and internal stakeholders to keep processes on track and targets within reach.

Responsibilities

• Manage and guide field operations teams involved in data-collection driving work, making sure standard operating procedures are followed consistently.
• Coach, support, and develop field surveyors, spot capability gaps, and carry out regular performance evaluations.
• Run recurring team meetings to communicate updates, procedures, and practical best practices.
• Partner with internal functions and external vendors or partners on logistics, coverage planning, resource allocation, and workload distribution.
• Act as a go-to resource for regional operational challenges and push for practical solutions where needed.
• Collect, review, and share operational data; prepare weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports for both internal and external audiences.
• Support business review activities and assist with invoice checks, forecasting, and controls related to finance, quality, and safety.
• Track performance patterns and SLA adherence, identify problem areas, and drive corrective actions.
• Take part in continuous improvement initiatives, lead root-cause investigations, and ensure both preventive and corrective steps are followed through.
• Escalate serious issues affecting performance, safety, or operations to senior leadership when appropriate.
• Carry out other duties as required to help the team and broader business objectives.

Required qualifications and skills

You should bring hands-on experience in people management or operations leadership, ideally within field data collection, logistics, or vendor-partner environments. Strong verbal and written communication is essential, along with solid organizational skills and the ability to stay effective in a fast-moving setting where urgent issues may arise. You should be comfortable building trust, setting expectations, delivering constructive feedback, and leading through example. The role also requires confidence in working with data, drawing insights, and turning them into actions that improve results. A self-driven, flexible, and collaborative approach is important, as is the willingness to travel to field locations when needed.

Preferred background

It would be an advantage if you have worked specifically in data-collection driving operations or field-vendor-led projects. Experience with dashboards or tracking tools for operational performance would also be useful, as would exposure to financial controls, forecasting, or vendor sourcing. Background in quality assurance, safety practices, or compliance is likewise preferred.
