Job description
Opportunity Overview
This is a chance to join a market technology company focused on ad testing and creative effectiveness. Established in 2015 and operating independently, the organisation helps major global brands understand what drives strong creative work and why it performs. Its offering combines advanced creative pre-testing with scalable cloud-based technology, supported by a substantial in-house engineering team.
The wider business draws on expertise across media strategy, planning, data science, qualitative research, and software and data engineering. With teams working across APAC, EMEA, and North America, operations are coordinated globally from hubs in Singapore, London, New York, McLean, and Melbourne, with local hybrid working arrangements.
Role Summary
As a Junior Market Research Analyst, you will help deliver both quantitative and qualitative research that digs into client business goals and marketing challenges. Your work will generate consumer insight on behaviours, habits, preferences, and sentiments to inform creative development, media strategy, planning, and optimisation. The team uses proprietary internal technology and blends traditional qualitative methods with quantitative evaluation to better understand the attitudes behind consumer behaviour.
Key Duties
- Engage with internal teams and external stakeholders to clarify research objectives and define the brief.
- Help run research projects and produce high-quality deliverables aligned to client expectations.
- Select and apply suitable research methods to produce dependable findings, combining both quantitative and qualitative approaches.
- Design and commission surveys using the project goals, previous performance data, and market understanding.
- Use statistical methods such as cluster analysis to identify audience groupings based on behavioural trends.
- Conduct consumer sentiment analysis for brands and campaigns using social insight platforms and open-ended survey responses, with Generative AI used to support qualitative summarisation and early-stage sentiment extraction.
- Coordinate panellist recruitment and review respondent data quality to maintain a representative and reliable sample.
- Interpret findings and convert them into clear audience insights.
- Assist in preparing reports and supporting analysis outputs.
What You Need
- A bachelor’s degree, preferably in an applied quantitative discipline, with strong communication and analytical ability.
- Either a strong academic track record or relevant practical experience.
- Well-developed analytical thinking, including the ability to frame business questions, examine data, draw conclusions, and propose actionable recommendations.
- Interest in emerging technologies, especially Generative AI tools, and the ability to use them carefully and accurately for data synthesis.
- Willingness to work with new platforms and openness to learning a scripting language.
- Good command of Microsoft Excel and prior experience using SQL.
- A thorough, detail-focused approach and the ability to resolve issues efficiently.
- Strong planning and project coordination skills.
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
Preferred Advantages
- The ability to create short, clear, and balanced surveys that produce useful and unbiased responses.
- Additional language fluency, especially in French, German, Italian, Japanese, or Korean.
- Exposure to statistical techniques and/or programming languages such as R or Python.
Benefits
- Salary benchmarked against the market.
- Eligibility for an annual company bonus.
- Hybrid work arrangement with a minimum of three days in the office.
- Health insurance coverage.
- 21 days of paid annual leave, plus 11 public holidays.
