Role overview
The Junior Graphic Designer will help produce visually engaging learning resources and marketing materials in a variety of formats. The position is centered on creating polished, brand-aligned visuals for training content, digital learning products, and communications assets, while keeping to established design standards and brand rules.
You will partner with the design function and colleagues across the wider business, bringing ideas to creative projects and helping deliver effective learning and marketing outputs.
Key responsibilities
- Develop fresh learning assets using Adobe Creative Suite, PowerPoint, and related learning design tools.
- Create marketing collateral such as email creatives, social media assets, digital ads, website graphics, and presentation decks.
- Contribute to the production of attractive visual content across multiple delivery channels and formats.
- Support video editing and motion graphics work, with scope to build skills further in these areas.
- Keep all visual work aligned with brand guidelines and internal quality expectations.
- Apply and uphold brand standards across all outputs produced by the business.
- Check that learning and marketing materials remain consistent and visually strong throughout.
- Review and refine design work to ensure it meets project briefs and internal standards.
- Maintain accuracy and a strong eye for detail in every deliverable.
- Work closely with the Design Team and other stakeholders on creative initiatives.
- Help deliver projects on schedule and within agreed timelines.
- Bring original ideas and practical solutions to design challenges.
- Operate effectively in a busy environment while balancing several priorities at once.
- Stay up to date with design trends, tools, and current best practices.
- Use AI tools to improve productivity, speed up concept development, and strengthen design workflows.
- Share practical examples of how AI can be incorporated into creative processes.
- Look for ways to improve efficiency and overall quality across projects.
Requirements
- A portfolio that clearly demonstrates solid graphic design fundamentals.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint.
- Strong capability with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Understanding of digital media formats and publishing workflows.
- Strong creative thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Comfortable working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Self-driven, proactive, and open to innovation.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to incorporate AI tools into design processes, ideally supported by practical examples.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 1 year of experience in a graphic design role, preferably in an agency or corporate setting.
- Interest in, or understanding of, digital learning content design.
- Experience with Captivate, Articulate 360, or similar eLearning tools is preferred.
- Video production experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with Camtasia, Premiere Pro, Audition, or comparable multimedia software is preferred.
Work environment
This position offers a fully remote or hybrid arrangement, with optional access to a London office in Farringdon. Home working equipment is provided. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm.
Compensation and benefits
Salary is £23,000 to £27,000 per year, plus bonus, depending on experience and location.
