Role Overview
Red Carrot is looking for a Junior Graphic Designer to contribute to a high-profile federal communications program. The role supports the client’s External Affairs team in creating strong visual communications that help advance the agency’s mission. This is a junior-level remote position and it will only move forward if the contract is awarded.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside senior team members to create posters, exhibits, publications, photos, brochures, reports, and other outreach-focused design assets.
- Develop presentations, partner-branded templates, kiosks, speeches, and fact sheets.
- Produce static and digital visuals, including animations, icons, and other illustration or multimedia assets for both web and print use.
- Build new templates or update existing ones for recurring materials such as fact sheets, brochures, flyers, and reports.
- Help manage the production workflow for printed and interactive deliverables.
- Make sure all graphics and finished products meet Section 508 accessibility requirements.
- Maintain brand consistency across all outputs delivered to the customer.
Minimum Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Art, Graphic Design, Information Technology, Media, Studio Arts, or a closely related field is required.
- At least 3 years of proven experience in graphic design is needed.
- Experience supporting senior staff with the design and development of posters, exhibits, publications, photos, brochures, reports, and similar outreach materials.
- Experience creating presentations, partner templates, kiosks, speeches, and fact sheets.
- Experience coordinating production for both printed and interactive materials.
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
- Ability to obtain the required government Fitness Determination.
