Role summary
This position sits in Network Operations and works alongside logistics leadership to improve performance across the distribution network. The role combines analytics, process improvement, and change support to help forecast resource needs, streamline workflows, and strengthen a continuous improvement mindset.
The company is looking for someone who is eager to learn, enjoys solving problems, and wants to grow in supply chain and continuous improvement. Support, mentoring, and development will be provided to help build capability in the role.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with capacity planning and forecasting by helping maintain models for labour, space, and equipment requirements across the network.
- Review seasonal and promotional data to spot effects on resources and workflows.
- Work closely with planning and operations teams so that accurate information feeds business decisions.
- Create and maintain dashboards in Power BI or Excel to track measures such as throughput, accuracy, and stock movement.
- Prepare straightforward insights that show patterns, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Support weekly reporting routines and performance review meetings.
- Take part in improvement workshops and initiatives such as root cause analysis and value stream mapping.
- Record workflows, gather data, and help monitor benefits from continuous improvement projects.
- Bring fresh ideas and help identify ways to improve day-to-day work.
- Develop strong working relationships with teams in Operations, Engineering, and Analytics.
- Share progress updates, surface issues early, and ask questions to keep work moving.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and share quick wins with the wider team.
Requirements
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Data/Analytics, or a similar field.
- One to two years of experience in supply chain, logistics, continuous improvement, or operational support; graduate roles and internships are also acceptable.
- Strong analytical ability with confidence using Excel and exposure to BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Basic understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methods.
- Strong communication skills and comfort working with different teams.
- A positive, can-do approach and genuine interest in learning and progressing.
- Curiosity, problem-solving ability, and willingness to explore data.
- Strong teamwork and relationship-building skills.
- Detail-focused working style with the ability to keep the bigger picture in mind.
- Resilience and drive in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities.
- Open to feedback and keen to build capability in supply chain and continuous improvement.
- Advanced MS Excel skills, plus exposure to BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
