Job description
Role overview
This position is responsible for analysing, planning, and recording change across the technology platforms used by the team. It supports stakeholders in defining the issue, clarifying the desired business and customer outcomes, and translating those needs into end-to-end requirements. The work involves understanding the present situation, defining the target state, and identifying the gaps, including any risk considerations.
What you will do
- Organise your own workload so deliverables are completed on schedule, within budget, and in line with approved scope.
- Select and record the appropriate business analysis approach and tools for the project or initiative.
- Work with stakeholders to identify, understand, document where needed, and confirm the current state across the initiative, including business, organisational, people, process, procedure, and system impacts.
- Clarify and document outcomes required for customers as well as internal and external stakeholders.
- Spot issues, shortcomings, and opportunities for improvement that could affect the project or initiative.
- Recognise when detailed root-cause analysis is required to understand a problem more fully.
- Flag inconsistencies in the information gathered and seek further clarification where required.
- Document the differences between the current and future state to a level that supports delivery of outcomes and helps prepare the business case.
About you
You should bring at least 2 years of experience in a similar business analysis role. Experience working in both waterfall and Agile delivery environments is expected. Formal business analysis training and technology-related qualifications are considered advantageous.
