Job description

About Darien Group

Darien Group is a branding firm created exclusively for the private equity sector. For more than ten years, the team has supported firms in sharpening brand clarity, improving digital visibility, and approaching capital raising with greater confidence. Their work covers a broad mix of investor-facing and transaction-related needs, which has made them a reliable partner for investment managers across different asset classes, stages of maturity, and strategies.

The Role

This position reports to the Director of Brand Strategy and works alongside the director and a senior strategist across the full lifecycle of client work. The role involves keeping projects organized, capturing detailed meeting notes, monitoring milestones, preparing the team for client conversations, and drafting early-stage content. It is intended for someone who wants to build a foundation in investor-facing strategy and content from the ground up.

The role provides broad exposure to Darien Group's client work and an opportunity to build the judgment, writing skills, and client awareness that are central to strong strategic work. The job is remote anywhere in the United States, with a hybrid arrangement available for candidates based in New York who will work alongside the local team. Because most clients are on the East Coast, availability to work in Eastern Time is required.

What We Are Looking For

  • Strong writing and editing ability, with the capability to turn rough or incomplete source material into polished, accurate, and highly professional copy.
  • Comfort and credibility in front of senior stakeholders, including C-suite executives, in both informal discussions and formal presentations.
  • Close attention to detail, with the discipline to catch issues in wording, numbers, and formatting before they reach the client.
  • A sense for how words and visuals work together, plus an interest in collaborating with designers to shape clear and compelling presentations.
  • Independent working style and the ability to stay organized, accountable, and productive in a remote setting with limited oversight.

Requirements

  • 1 to 4 years of professional experience.
  • A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a similar field, or an equivalent combination of education and practical experience.
  • Working knowledge of presentation and collaboration software such as PowerPoint and Google Workspace, along with strong attention to detail.
  • Availability to work on Eastern Time due to the client base being largely on the East Coast.

Preferred Experience

  • Exposure to private markets or financial services, including private equity, real estate, credit, or related asset classes.
  • Background in an agency, in-house communications, investor relations, strategy, or consulting environment, especially where client- or stakeholder-facing materials were created.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $65,000 to $80,000, depending on experience.
