Job description
Role Overview
Velociti Services is hiring a Janitorial Rover based in Overland Park, KS. This position requires your own vehicle and involves moving between different sites to cover absences, open shifts, and additional cleaning support as needed. The role is focused on keeping facilities clean, safe, and customer-ready while stepping in wherever coverage is required.
Core Duties
- Travel to multiple locations during a shift and maintain consistent quality standards at each site.
- Step in when team members are absent or when extra coverage is needed.
- Support janitorial tasks and help keep assigned areas clean and orderly.
- Assist the area lead with completing punch-list items.
- Use personal protective equipment correctly and follow all safety practices.
- Maintain a polished, professional appearance and manner at all times.
- Work with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and service.
- Understand and follow reporting systems and site expectations.
- Take direction from the Cleaning Lead, Supervisor, or Manager as needed.
- Coordinate with other internal departments and participate in team meetings.
Cleaning Tasks When Covering Absences
- Vacuum flooring and perform edging work.
- Dust surfaces and fixtures.
- Clean and restock restrooms and breakrooms.
- Wash windows.
- Collect trash and move it to the proper disposal location.
- Sweep and mop floors.
- Carry out other assigned duties when required.
Candidate Profile
- Prior janitorial experience is preferred.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- Safety awareness must be strong, with consistent adherence to all rules, policies, and procedures.
- The ideal applicant works well in a team and contributes to a high-quality environment.
- Strong guest service skills and leadership presence are important.
- A commitment to supporting both guest and associate experience is essential.
- Must be comfortable working under pressure and meeting deadlines during busy periods.
Physical Requirements
This job involves a mix of standing, walking, and sitting, along with frequent use of the hands for handling, gripping, rubbing, and feeling. The role may require reaching above the shoulders, pushing and pulling, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and performing repetitive tasks. Candidates should be able to stand for long periods and regularly lift up to 10 pounds. Work may be fast-paced and deadline-driven.
