About the Role
This position is part of a travel center team that focuses on keeping the facility clean, welcoming, and ready for guests throughout the day. The environment is fast-paced and varied, with regular interaction with travelers, drivers, commuters, and other guests. The employer also emphasizes teamwork, service, and inclusion, and may provide exposure to other roles across travel centers and restaurants through training opportunities.
Compensation
Pay starts at $12.50 per hour and can go up to $18.23 per hour.
Key Duties
- Keep the store and common areas clean and well maintained.
- Clean showers and restroom areas.
- Wash, load, and unload towels used for shower facilities.
- Carry out basic repairs and routine maintenance tasks for the store.
- Collect and remove trash from the travel center grounds.
- Deliver strong guest service by helping maintain safe, tidy, and pleasant facilities.
Qualifications
Successful candidates are self-driven, comfortable working with others, and able to handle a physically active schedule. The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and spend most of the day standing or walking. Flexibility to work nights, days, weekends, and holidays is also needed. Prior experience in a similar position is preferred, along with familiarity with industrial equipment and the ability to resolve minor issues.
