Job Description

This is a full-time Janitor position with a pay rate of $15.00 per hour. The schedule includes morning and afternoon shifts, Monday through Sunday, with weekly pay.

Diversified Maintenance is seeking to hire a Janitor. The Janitor is responsible for performing comprehensive cleaning and preservation tasks in designated areas within a building or at multiple client locations. Due to the varied nature of client needs, the janitorial team must be adaptable and capable of fulfilling assigned duties according to specific client requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning of all floor surfaces, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming.
• Adhere to established procedures for the safe use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and other surfaces.
• Clean and maintain restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, and entrance areas, ensuring they are well-kept and sanitary.
• Collect and dispose of trash in designated receptacles, utilizing compactors for specific materials as needed.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaning agents and tools.
• Address carpet spots and stains, and assist with carpet extraction and shampooing services.
• Ensure all paper products and sanitary supplies are consistently replenished.
• Follow the established housekeeping schedule diligently.
• Operate heavy cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers when required.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned, based on the scope of work or client requirements.

Qualifications

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or have at least six months of experience in a janitorial role.
• On-the-job training will be provided to successful candidates.
• Demonstrate a strong attention to detail in all tasks.
• Exhibit the ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial services is advantageous.
• Familiarity with standard custodial practices and commercial cleaning benchmarks.
• Knowledge of various floor care techniques, including buffing and waxing.
• Experience in industrial cleaning or general facilities maintenance.
