Job description

Position Overview

This role supports the restaurant by keeping the building clean, sanitary, orderly, and visually appealing. It helps both front-of-house and back-of-house teams by maintaining a safe environment that contributes to a better guest experience and smoother day-to-day operations.

The position is important to maintaining the brand’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency.

Core Duties

  • Keep dining areas, restrooms, kitchen support spaces, and outdoor areas clean and sanitary.
  • Follow company procedures for cleaning, sanitation, and workplace safety at all times.
  • Meet GHS guidelines and all relevant health and safety standards.
  • Use cleaning agents and equipment safely and correctly.
  • Clear tables, wipe them down, and reset them quickly to keep guest traffic moving.
  • Support servers and other front-of-house staff in keeping the dining room tidy and organized.
  • Remove trash, debris, and spills right away to reduce hazards.
  • Maintain floors, windows, and other busy areas so they stay clean and presentable.
  • Help with cleaning tasks during opening and closing as assigned.
  • Keep cleaning products, tools, and storage areas organized.
  • Assist with cleaning needs in the kitchen and bar areas when needed.
  • Work closely with teammates to support overall restaurant operations.

Appearance and Conduct

  • Maintain a neat, professional look that matches uniform expectations.
  • Follow grooming, hygiene, and dress code standards.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a janitor, busser, or restaurant worker is preferred.
  • Comfort working in a busy, high-volume setting.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Basic familiarity with bar operations and equipment is an advantage.

Work Conditions

This is a fast-paced, high-energy restaurant environment with exposure to noise, shifting temperatures, and cleaning chemicals.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, including kegs, cases, and supplies.
  • Ability to bend, reach, and repeat tasks throughout the shift.
  • Ability to work in wet, humid, or hot conditions.

Training and Compliance

  • Completion of all required company training is needed before working independently.
  • Compliance with applicable local and state certification requirements is required.
