Role Summary
This opportunity is for a Technology Analyst focused on system administration in Abu Dhabi. The position sits within a global technology and consulting environment where you will help deliver reliable, secure, and high-quality solutions that support business needs.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will take ownership of application- and infrastructure-related analysis work, define the activities and components required for development or remediation, and help drive execution to successful completion. The job also involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders to support technical and operational outcomes.
Core Accountabilities
- Assess technology requirements and translate them into clear execution plans for the relevant teams.
- Work with stakeholders, including senior management, to communicate progress and align expectations.
- Review IT risk, compliance, audit, and security matters across cloud, applications, change management, disaster recovery, data center operations, information security, and networks.
- Evaluate policies and procedures to confirm they align with internal standards and external regulatory obligations.
- Identify gaps, suggest process improvements, and support stronger audit and control practices.
- Prepare and present annual risk assessments to help prioritize audits and improvement areas.
- Coordinate internal and external ISO audit activities and ensure resources are used effectively.
- Track, analyze, and follow up on vulnerability closures across UAE and international teams.
- Investigate technical details of vulnerabilities and route them to the correct teams for remediation.
- Run regular status meetings with country teams, highlight pending actions, and support timely closure.
- Maintain dashboards and records in JIRA, including action plans, target dates, assignees, and resolved items.
- Share weekly remediation updates with IT risk, project leadership, and service heads, and escalate blockers when needed.
- Coordinate with security and infrastructure teams on scan status, asset coverage, false positives, and reopened issues.
- Support implementation work related to vulnerability remediation changes.
Required Experience and Profile
The role calls for strong experience in banking and infrastructure technology, along with proven ability to work with cross-functional teams. You should be comfortable dealing with senior stakeholders, maintain strong ethics and business judgment, and bring solid analytical, organizational, and data interpretation skills. Effective communication, diplomacy, and the ability to influence without direct authority are also important.
Standards and Compliance Exposure
You should have working knowledge of major security, compliance, and audit frameworks and regulations, including NESA, GDPR, MAS, HKMA, NIST 800-53, COBIT, ISO 27001, OWASP, ITILv3, and CSA.
