Role overview
The organization is looking for a motivated junior IT Support Officer to help keep day-to-day technology operations running smoothly. This full-time, on-site position involves assisting users, maintaining devices and systems, and resolving technical issues across hardware, software, and network resources. Key responsibilities
- Provide first-line assistance for issues related to computers, software, and networking.
- Identify and resolve faults involving printers, connectivity, and desktop or laptop devices.
- Set up, install, and maintain workstations, portable computers, and connected peripherals.
- Help manage user accounts, including access permissions and password-related requests.
- Track IT equipment and help ensure systems remain reliable and perform well.
- Log, monitor, and close support tickets within appropriate timeframes.
- Assist with software deployment, updates, and routine maintenance tasks.
- Support the upkeep of IT inventory records and technical documentation.
Required skills and experience
- Fundamental understanding of computer systems, hardware components, and networking basics.
- Working knowledge of Windows operating systems and commonly used office productivity tools.
- Strong ability to diagnose issues and work through technical problems methodically.
- Clear communication skills and a service-oriented approach when supporting users.
- Ability to juggle several requests and decide priorities effectively.
