Role overview

We are seeking a motivated and organized IT Support Officer at entry or junior level to support day-to-day technology operations. In this position, you will help users with technical issues, keep IT systems running smoothly, and contribute to reliable service delivery across the business. This role is well suited to someone who enjoys technology and wants to build practical experience in a professional setting.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for basic technical issues involving hardware, software, and network connectivity.
  • Diagnose user-reported IT problems and work to resolve them promptly.
  • Set up, install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, and other IT equipment.
  • Help manage user accounts, password resets, and access permissions.
  • Keep an eye on system health and assist in maintaining IT infrastructure performance.
  • Support the installation of software, routine updates, and regular maintenance tasks.
  • Record support tickets, resolutions, and system setup details accurately.
  • Refer more complex issues to senior IT team members when necessary.
  • Work in line with IT policies, procedures, and security requirements.

Requirements

  • A diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Fundamental understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking basics.
  • Comfort working with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
  • Clear communication skills and a helpful customer-service approach.
  • Ability to work effectively on your own and within a team.
  • Careful attention to detail and a willingness to learn and improve.
  • Prior IT support experience is helpful but not essential.
