Job description
Role overview
The IT Specialist will be an important part of the technology team, ensuring day-to-day systems and infrastructure run smoothly. This position focuses on resolving technical issues, supporting users, and keeping hardware, software, and IT records in good working order.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver hands-on support to staff for computer hardware and software concerns.
- Investigate technical faults and resolve them, escalating more complex cases when required.
- Help maintain and administer IT systems, equipment, and supporting infrastructure.
- Set up, install, configure, and refresh applications and operating systems.
- Carry out regular checks, backups, and system maintenance updates.
- Keep reliable records of devices, software licences, and stock inventory.
- Work with the wider IT team to apply security controls and operational protocols.
- Assist team members with IT questions and provide user guidance or training where needed.
- Track system performance, security, and data accuracy to spot issues early.
- Support technology projects such as upgrades and new deployment activities.
- Stay informed about new technology developments and suggest practical improvements.
- Create and maintain documentation, process notes, and technical user guides.
- Support purchasing decisions by helping assess and source IT hardware and software.
- Prepare IT-related reports and maintain documentation required for internal use.

The role also requires working in a safe and environmentally responsible way to protect guests and colleagues while supporting conservation efforts. All company environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures must be followed.
