Role Overview
The bank is looking for an experienced IT Asset Specialist to manage the complete lifecycle of IT assets across the organization. The position focuses on policy compliance, regulatory adherence, cost control, and the efficient use of hardware, software, and related resources. The role also expects the effective use of AI tools to support IT asset management activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, refine, and maintain procedures and policies for managing IT assets.
- Oversee the complete lifecycle of hardware and software assets, including procurement or onboarding, deployment, upkeep, retirement, and disposal.
- Keep the organization’s asset inventory accurate and current through asset management systems and databases.
- Ensure configuration items linked to newly onboarded assets are correctly recorded.
- Confirm that IT assets meet the bank’s security standards and regulatory expectations.
- Work with asset owners to improve lifecycle processes and strengthen inventory data accuracy.
- Carry out governance checks, audits, and reconciliations to spot mismatches and fix issues.
- Review asset data to identify discrepancies, SLA breaches, process inefficiencies, utilization trends, and cost opportunities.
- Test new features introduced in IT Asset Management tools and processes.
- Assist IT teams with asset-related information and help ensure assets are available on time.
- Guide and support staff in using asset management policies, systems, and tools.
- Use AI tools to improve asset tracking and asset management work.
- Promote and expand the use of AI within the IT asset management function.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline is preferred.
- Between 3 and 6 years of experience in IT asset management or a related IT operations role.
- Strong understanding of IT asset management practices, supporting tools, and software licensing models.
- Working knowledge of ITIL processes and frameworks.
- Exposure to tools such as Device 42, Armis, and Flexera will be an advantage.
- Strong organizational ability, analytical thinking, and careful attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-moving environment.
- Comfort with AI tools and their capabilities is a strong advantage.

- Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM)
- ITIL Foundation Certification
- Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM)
