Job description
Company Overview
ScholrNet is an opportunity network built to help students find and access high-impact academic and career pathways. The platform brings together research programs, scholarships, competitions, internships, summer schools, and international academic opportunities in one place. By organizing and curating these options, ScholrNet reduces the information gap for students from different backgrounds. The team is focused on developing tools and partnerships that simplify complex application journeys and help more students pursue opportunities that can shape their future.
Role Overview
This is a full-time, on-site Investor/Cofounder position in the Greater Patna Area. The selected person will work closely with the founding team to sharpen the business model, define strategic priorities, and support growth across product, operations, and partnerships. The role includes discussions with investors and partners, assistance with fundraising efforts, and contributing capital as mutually agreed. It also involves supporting market research, validating user needs, aligning product direction with ScholrNet’s mission and revenue goals, building early organizational systems, hiring initial team members, and representing the company at relevant local and national education events.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in founding, co-founding, or early-stage startup leadership, preferably in education, edtech, or a purpose-led technology business.
- Willingness and capacity to invest capital and stay actively involved in fundraising, investor communication, and financial planning.
- Strong grounding in business strategy, market evaluation, and go-to-market execution, with evidence of measurable growth impact.
- Experience forming partnerships with schools, universities, nonprofits, or youth-focused organizations.
- Comfort working in uncertain, fast-moving startup settings, along with the ability to handle both strategic and execution-level responsibilities.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities, including the ability to communicate ScholrNet’s mission to varied audiences.
- Exposure to product development for digital platforms or marketplaces is useful; collaboration with product and engineering teams is an added advantage.
- Genuine interest in expanding access to education and student opportunities, with a long-term commitment to ScholrNet’s vision.
- A bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, economics, education, or a related discipline; higher qualifications are welcome but not mandatory.
Additional Information
This position combines investment commitment with an active operational cofounder role. The candidate is expected to contribute strategically, operationally, and financially as part of the founding journey.
