Job description

About the Organization

Bridge Ventures is a family office that invests across both public and private markets. The team manages a diversified mix of private equity, venture capital, public equity, private credit, and fixed income with a long-term focus on building value. Beyond investing, the office also oversees operational and financial work that supports the wider goals of the family. The environment is lean, performance-driven, and collaborative, and the team is looking for someone naturally curious, strongly research-oriented, and eager to understand businesses, markets, and opportunities across a wide range of asset classes.

The right person will be intellectually flexible, enjoy exploring unfamiliar industries and themes, and be motivated to apply disciplined analysis in a fast-moving setting. This role also involves contributing to several business functions within a close-knit team.

Role Summary

The Investment Research Associate will support the investment team in evaluating opportunities across public and private markets. The role combines quantitative and qualitative research, deep analysis of companies and themes, and the creation of actionable insights supported by strong fundamentals and careful risk assessment. It offers broad exposure to asset classes including private equity, venture capital, private credit, fixed income, and equities, along with direct interaction with the CIO and senior investment professionals. The team is looking for a self-directed professional who can work effectively from a remote setup with a high degree of independence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform fundamental research on existing public equity holdings, track important updates, and identify any changes that may affect the original investment thesis.
  • Lead research on sectors and themes prioritized by the firm, including AI, technology, infrastructure, finance, consumer, and healthcare, while monitoring macroeconomic developments, regulation, and competitive dynamics to uncover potential new investments.
  • Develop investment theses based on capital-cycle analysis, valuation, and key risks, and use those insights to recommend opportunities that can strengthen the portfolio and support strong returns.
  • Carry out detailed due diligence and prepare investment memos for emerging ideas and thematic initiatives across private investments and public equities for review by the investment committee.
  • Create and maintain financial models such as DCFs, operating forecasts, and investment return analyses for both prospective and current holdings.
  • Communicate recommendations clearly and succinctly to leadership.
  • Keep the deal pipeline and internal investment tracking system updated.
  • Review communications from fund managers and administrators, and escalate time-sensitive items such as NAV updates, regulatory notices, capital calls, and distributions.
  • Track and assess the performance of portfolio companies and public positions.
  • Maintain and audit investment records in the portfolio management and reporting platform, including Addepar, to ensure accurate data and timely reporting.
  • Prepare internal portfolio reports, performance summaries, and analytical materials.
  • Support the CIO and senior team through the full investment cycle, from initial discussions to diligence, modeling, and ongoing monitoring.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in buy-side investing, asset management, equity or credit research, or investment banking.
  • Strong enthusiasm for investing across public and private markets and for deep fundamental analysis.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong financial modeling capability; exposure to research and data tools such as PitchBook is helpful, and AI tools are a plus.
  • A bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organization, and the ability to handle multiple priorities at once.
  • Prior success working remotely, with strong self-direction, accountability, and follow-through in a small team environment.
  • High level of discretion and the ability to keep sensitive information confidential.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to help on projects and tasks beyond the formal job scope when needed.
  • Experience with Addepar is preferred but not mandatory; training and support will be provided.
