Job description
Role Overview
An established infrastructure investment platform is expanding its Dublin-based team and is seeking an Investment Manager with a focus on the energy transition sector. The role sits within a well-capitalised fund investing in renewable energy, energy storage, and wider electrification infrastructure.
What You’ll Do
- Source, evaluate, and screen new opportunities in renewable power, storage, and electrification assets.
- Build and maintain relationships with developers, sponsors, advisers, and other important industry contacts.
- Take ownership of, or support, transactions from initial review through to completion, including diligence, deal structuring, and negotiations.
- Manage input from commercial, financial, legal, and technical advisers across the transaction process.
- Create, refine, and assess financial models and investment business cases.
- Develop presentation materials and committee papers for investment approvals and senior leadership review.
- Track sector trends, policy changes, and new themes shaping investment opportunities.
Candidate Background
The ideal candidate brings 7 to 10 years of experience in infrastructure investment, energy transition, project finance, or M&A advisory. Strong exposure to renewable energy, storage, or electrification assets is important, along with experience handling deals across the full transaction lifecycle. The role also requires strong financial modelling and valuation skills, a commercial approach to originating opportunities, and excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
