The role supports M&A advisory, capital raising, IPOs, and broader strategic assignments for both fast-growing and mature technology businesses.
This is a high-visibility, client-facing position where the associate works closely with senior bankers and analysts. You will be expected to lead workstreams from start to finish, support and coach analysts, and communicate directly with clients, investors, and legal advisors.
Transaction execution
- Drive day-to-day delivery of M&A, equity financing, debt financing, and strategic advisory transactions.
- Develop and maintain advanced financial models, including DCF, LBO, merger, and accretion/dilution analyses.
- Perform valuation work using comparable companies, precedent deals, and discounted cash flow methods.
- Create client materials such as pitch decks, offering documents, and management presentation packages.
- Manage diligence activities and coordinate with clients, attorneys, and other external advisers.
Technology sector coverage
- Build strong domain knowledge across major technology verticals such as SaaS, cloud, AI/ML, fintech, and digital platforms.
- Monitor sector developments, market shifts, competitive dynamics, and new technologies.
- Maintain databases of comparable companies and transactions to support coverage and execution work.
Client engagement
- Take part in client discussions and formal presentations.
- Support ongoing relationships with current and prospective clients.
- Help generate ideas and develop strategic recommendations.
Team leadership
- Supervise and mentor analyst-level team members.
- Check analyst output for completeness, accuracy, and presentation quality.
- Assist in organizing workload and setting priorities across multiple active projects.
Qualifications
Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a similar discipline; an MBA or comparable credential is preferred. The role typically requires 2–5 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or a related environment. Candidates should demonstrate strong financial modeling and valuation capability, genuine interest in technology, strong analytical and quantitative judgment, and advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred background
Experience working with technology companies, familiarity with SaaS operating metrics such as ARR, CAC, LTV, churn, and growth efficiency, and prior exposure to transaction execution including M&A, IPOs, and private placements will be viewed favorably.
