Job description

About the Role

Arena Investors is a global investment management firm focused on producing attractive, consistent, risk-adjusted returns that are not closely tied to broader markets. The firm uses a fundamentals-driven, asset-oriented approach to financing and investing across the credit spectrum, especially where traditional capital sources are limited. Its work spans origination and acquisition of asset-backed investments across a broad mix of commercial and consumer asset classes, including private direct corporate lending and commercial real estate bridge lending. The team regularly handles off-the-run, stressed, distressed, illiquid, and highly specialized special situations, and designs structures tailored to each opportunity.

This two-year Analyst Program is designed for recent university graduates and offers an opportunity to join a fast-growing alternative credit investment business directly after undergraduate study, without requiring the usual 1–2 years of prior investment banking experience. Analysts will contribute to capital deployment across the firm’s corporate private credit, real estate, structured product, natural resource, and liquid market strategies. The role combines structured training with practical experience in finance, law, and professional development.

What You’ll Do

  • Build financial models and carry out investment and data analysis.
  • Identify and evaluate new transaction opportunities.
  • Conduct relative value assessments.
  • Help prepare investment memoranda and supporting materials.
  • Support the transaction closing process.
  • Take ownership of post-closing responsibilities.
  • Work closely with internal teams such as Treasury and Operations.
  • Support industry and company due diligence, financing analysis, and other ad-hoc assignments as a generalist on the investment team.

What You’ll Learn

Through hands-on work and recurring training sessions, analysts will gain exposure to credit analysis, financial modeling, business models, capital structure analysis, fixed income and equity securities, and the legal considerations relevant to buy-side investing. The program also emphasizes the development of communication, professionalism, and other soft skills that are important for long-term success in the financial industry.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The firm is seeking motivated graduates who are genuinely interested in finance and investing, can perform well in a demanding team environment, and are organized, proactive, and resourceful. Successful candidates should be comfortable working quickly while maintaining accuracy and efficiency, and should have a mindset focused on continuous improvement and high standards of execution.

Benefits

Arena offers a competitive pay and benefits package.
