Job description

Role overview

This position focuses on keeping finished goods inventory accurate and available across trunk stock and a third-party logistics partner. You will help ensure product availability, support customer questions related to inventory, and provide backend assistance to Account Service Representatives by maintaining inventory data and helping resolve issues. The role also serves as the first point of support for Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP, contributes to quarterly business reviews with the logistics provider, and helps build KPI dashboards to monitor inventory and 3PL performance. The job is based in Alpharetta, GA and is described as a full-time hybrid role.

Key responsibilities

  • Monitor, maintain, and update inventory records so field trunk stock remains accurate.
  • Perform routine cycle counts at distributor locations and correct any stock variances.
  • Respond to inventory questions from customers, including availability, order progress, and replacement requests.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound inventory flow with the third-party logistics provider to support timely order fulfillment.
  • Enter data, produce reports, and review inventory patterns to reduce shortages and excess stock.
  • Investigate stock mismatches, shipping mistakes, and damaged product issues, then help drive resolution.
  • Keep inventory documentation aligned with company expectations and applicable industry standards.
  • Prepare inventory and account reports that support Account Service Representatives in customer conversations.
  • Track and maintain inventory at GMLx and ensure records stay current.
  • Collaborate with the logistics partner to improve distribution performance and overall supply chain efficiency.
  • Support quarterly business reviews by reviewing metrics, identifying improvement opportunities, and confirming SLA adherence.
  • Watch logistics KPIs and ensure compliance with company requirements and 3PL agreements.
  • Look for ways to improve workflow efficiency and reduce operating costs in the logistics network.
  • Provide first-line support for Microsoft Dynamics 365, including basic troubleshooting, data-entry issues, and navigation help.
  • Escalate ERP-related problems to IT or system administrators when needed.
  • Guide internal users on ERP best practices and answer minor system questions.
  • Maintain high data accuracy in Dynamics 365 to support reliable inventory and account records.
  • Design, implement, and maintain KPI dashboards for inventory and 3PL performance tracking.
  • Create live dashboards that show inventory accuracy, turnover, fulfillment, and shipping metrics.
  • Analyze KPI trends regularly and share insights that support continuous improvement.
  • Work with stakeholders to refine dashboard metrics so they match business and operational goals.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a similar discipline is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in inventory management, supply chain, or customer service.
  • Strong planning, organization, and problem-solving ability.
  • Hands-on experience with cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, and order processing.
  • Comfort supporting account service teams with account-related tasks.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience coordinating with 3PL providers and participating in performance reviews.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365, along with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience using data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Physical requirements may include occasional sitting, standing, walking, climbing, reaching, bending, and stooping.
  • May involve lifting and carrying items of 50 pounds or more, depending on the role.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, grasping, and operating equipment.
  • Some assignments may require driving for long periods and holding a valid driver’s license.

Compensation

The role offers an annual salary range of USD 70,000 to USD 75,000.
