Job description
Company Overview
Indian Stitches Private Ltd is a vertically integrated knitted-fabric manufacturer headquartered in Tirupur, Tamil Nadu, the knitwear hub of India. The company has been exporting since 2006 to 12 international markets. It manages knitting, dyeing, printing, and finishing in-house, which means one supplier remains responsible for shade consistency, product quality, and delivery timelines from start to finish.
The company’s fabrics are produced in line with OEKO-TEX Standard 100, GOTS, GRS, and Organic requirements, and its operations also align with Higg Index and SMETA social compliance standards. Its customer base includes major global brands and retailers such as M&S, Tesco, Next, Primark, Jockey, Levi’s, Calvin Klein, Columbia, and Mothercare. A 50-tonne-per-day greenfield dyehouse is currently being developed in Odisha to support future growth.
Role Summary
This is a full-time remote sales role based in Kenya, focused on expanding the company’s knitted-fabric business across Kenya and East Africa. The selected candidate will act as the local point of contact between regional buyers and the manufacturing team in Tirupur, helping manage existing accounts, build new business, and move opportunities through to order conversion.
The role involves preparing price quotations, negotiating commercial terms, evaluating new leads, coordinating samples and product presentations, and supporting the closure of deals. The representative will also work closely with the production, logistics, and quality teams in India to ensure smooth execution and on-time shipments. Market intelligence, competitor tracking, trade fair participation, and sales forecasting are also part of the job. Occasional travel to India may be needed.

- Work with production, logistics, and quality teams to support timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Track market trends, competitor activity, and customer requirements to support sales planning.
- Contribute to trade fairs, sales forecasting, and business development reporting.
- Travel to India whenever required for business coordination.
Candidate Profile
- At least 5 years of experience selling knitted fabric in international markets.
- Having an established buyer network in Kenya or East Africa will be a significant advantage.
- Strong command of Swahili and working English.

- Comfortable using CRM tools, spreadsheets, and presentation software.
- Able to review sales data and create clear, structured reports.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Trade, Marketing, Textile Technology, or a comparable background through relevant experience.
- Must be based in Kenya; this is not a relocation opportunity.
- Willingness to travel to India as needed.
Additional Information
This role is for a remote working arrangement, but the candidate must be physically located in Kenya and able to operate as the company’s regional sales representative. International travel within the business context may be requested periodically, especially to India for coordination with internal teams.
