Role overview
The Internal Account Manager will provide operational and partner support within the cybersecurity distribution environment. This position acts as a central link between channel partners and internal teams, handling partner queries, quotations, order processing, and support after orders are placed. The role demands precise execution, strong compliance with service-level targets, and thorough record-keeping in the CRM system.
This position reports to the Regional Manager.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the main operational contact for assigned channel partners, ensuring communication remains professional, prompt, and consistent.
- Handle partner requests within the two-hour service-level commitment and maintain a high standard of service.
- Draft, check, and release pricing quotations accurately in line with approved commercial rules and internal procedures.
- Coordinate order submission activities while ensuring accuracy, completeness, and policy compliance.
- Keep partners informed about order progress, stock position, and expected delivery schedules.
- Update CRM records accurately and consistently, including partner opportunities, activities, and pipeline information.
Qualifications and experience
The ideal candidate should have matric and at least two years of experience in account management, sales support, or a comparable position. Background in IT distribution, channel sales, or vendor management is considered an advantage. Familiarity with cybersecurity vendor products and related processes is also beneficial.
Strong communication skills are essential, along with the ability to engage professionally with both internal and external stakeholders. The role also requires solid organizational and prioritization abilities, the capacity to manage several tasks at once in a busy environment, and a careful eye for detail when handling quotations, orders, and system records.
