About the role
This position sits within the Guest Services team, which is responsible for creating a strong first impression for arriving visitors. The role focuses on greeting guests on arrival, guiding them to the check-in area, assisting with luggage handling and temporary storage, supporting item delivery, escorting guests to their rooms, explaining room amenities and facilities, and handling guest questions and requests. The team also values an inclusive working environment and personalized service delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Support daily front-of-house operations so guests enjoy a smooth and memorable arrival and departure journey. This includes welcoming visitors, directing them appropriately, engaging with them in a thoughtful way, handling baggage-related requests, using the FCS system, and responding to calls at the Guest Services Command Center.
- Stay alert to guest needs and respond proactively before issues arise.
- Use a solid understanding of Marina Bay Sands offerings and wider Singapore attractions and services to make helpful recommendations.
- Work closely with teams across the Integrated Resort to deliver a highly personalized guest experience.
- Record guest preferences accurately and keep information up to date.
Requirements
- Must be a currently enrolled full-time matriculated student.
- The internship has to count toward graduation requirements set by the school.
- Previous exposure to hospitality or another customer-facing environment will be an advantage.
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills are needed.
- High attention to detail is important.
- Should demonstrate strong customer service and problem-solving ability.
- Must be mature, careful, resourceful, well organized, and capable of working on own initiative.
- Needs to be a collaborative team player who can also work independently.
- Must be ready for operational deployment.
- Should maintain a neat, professional appearance.
- Good planning and execution abilities are required.
- Must be able to manage time effectively, stay organized, communicate well, and bring a positive, motivating presence.
