Job description
Program Overview
This corporate internship gives students a practical introduction to brand management within a major hospitality company. The experience is designed to connect academic learning with real business work through guided projects, on-the-job learning, mentoring, and day-to-day support. Interns will gain exposure to hotel operations and corporate hospitality functions while building skills that can support a future career path.
What You Will Do
- Assist with strategic planning and the rollout of Select, Premium, and Luxury brand initiatives across the region.
- Contribute creatively and practically to the planning, development, and execution of brand programs and campaigns.
- Prepare strong presentations and reports, coordinate with stakeholders, and keep records and documentation well organized.
- Support internal stakeholders working on hotel openings and priority properties within the Select, Premium, and Luxury portfolio.
- Help create statistical reports and other analytical materials when needed.
- Draft and circulate team communications, presentations, and related documents.
What Makes You a Strong Fit
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Strong analytical ability, plus solid teamwork and organizational capabilities.
- Basic understanding of how brand management activities and brand operations are planned and delivered.
- Familiarity with Marriott lodging products, brands, and culture.
- Highly organized, careful with details, and comfortable working to deadlines.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Smartsheet or similar tools is an advantage.
- A positive mindset, enthusiasm, and a willingness to take responsibility for assigned work.
- Ambition, self-motivation, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy, fast-moving setting.
- Ability to build and maintain working relationships with associates, customers, owners, agencies, and partners.
- Ability to set up tracking systems for documents and spreadsheets.
Eligibility and Qualification Standards
This opportunity is intended for university students who are enthusiastic about building a career in brand management. Preferred fields of study include Social Sciences, Business Management, Economics, or Marketing.
Applicants must be Singaporean citizens, Singapore Permanent Residents, or hold a valid student pass or work holiday pass. Candidates should be enrolled in, or have graduated from, a university in Singapore and must be eligible through a Singapore-registered undergraduate program, or be an undergraduate or graduate of a university in Singapore, Australia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, or the United States.
Selected candidates should be ready to commit to a six-month internship. All employees are expected to maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance in line with company standards.
