Role overview
The Intake Coordinator is the first contact for individuals and families reaching out to Autism Care Partners through the inquiry line. This position helps determine whether services can be provided, collects the initial details needed for documentation when appropriate, and keeps the intake process moving through timely follow-up. The role is part of an intake team focused on supporting families throughout the intake, evaluation, and assessment journey.
Location requirement
This position is open only to candidates who live in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, or New York.
Key duties
- Answer incoming calls from families seeking information about services at Autism Care Partners.
- Record patient details in CentralReach.
- Complete follow-up tasks and other intake workflow items as assigned by the Director of Payor Relations.
- Coordinate with other Intake Coordinators and Family Liaisons to share patient needs and pending follow-up items.
- Support special projects and organizational initiatives when needed.
- Adapt to new duties as the organization grows and changes.
- Maintain regular, dependable attendance, which is a core requirement of the role.
Performance expectations
- Provide strong customer service through active listening, flexibility, careful attention to detail, teamwork, and conflict resolution.
- Show a high level of accountability and follow-through so families receive consistent support.
- Meet with the supervisor weekly and as needed.
Work setting
This is a remote or hybrid position.
Physical requirements
The job involves extended periods of sitting and computer use.
Education and experience
- An associate degree in a healthcare-related or administrative field is required.
Additional requirements
- Employees in this role are classified as essential workers supporting critical infrastructure.
- Candidates must have no prior criminal history.
- Comfort with technology is required.
- Strong computer ability is needed, especially with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Windows, and Excel.
- Ability to use basic office equipment is required.
