Job description

Role overview

The insurance sales agent will be responsible for promoting and selling insurance solutions to both individual and business clients. The role focuses on understanding customer needs, suggesting appropriate coverage, and supporting clients throughout the policy lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and nurture strong client relationships over time.
  • Evaluate a client’s protection requirements and propose suitable insurance plans.
  • Describe the features, benefits, and terms of available insurance products to prospects.
  • Complete insurance applications and manage renewals for existing policies.
  • Work toward sales goals and revenue targets.
  • Stay informed about market developments and updates to insurance regulations.
  • Coordinate with underwriters and other insurance specialists to help ensure correct pricing and coverage.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
  • English fluency is required.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience is needed.
  • Prior exposure to sales or customer service is an added advantage.
  • Good understanding of insurance products and how the industry operates.
  • Strong verbal communication and people skills.
  • Solid negotiation and persuasion ability.
  • Comfortable working independently and delivering against targets.
  • High attention to detail along with strong organizational ability.
