Role overview

This is a 12-month contract-based opportunity for an Innovation Expert in Qatar, working on-site with the client. The assignment is extendable, and the client may confirm compensation later in the interview stage.

About the role

The selected professional will help shape and drive innovation efforts within the ministry. The role is focused on building a strong culture of creativity, aligning new ideas with the ministry’s wider objectives, and turning concepts into practical outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute innovation strategies that support the ministry’s priorities and long-term objectives.
• Encourage a workplace environment that supports creativity, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
• Run ideation workshops and brainstorming sessions to generate new ideas.
• Review employee-submitted ideas, assess their fit with strategic goals, and prioritize them based on feasibility and expected impact.
• Guide promising concepts through development into workable prototypes.
• Check whether prototypes are technically sound, scalable, and valuable for the organization.
• Rank innovation initiatives according to strategic relevance and potential return on investment.
• Coordinate with engineers, designers, business developers, and project managers to keep innovation work aligned and collaborative.

Skills and competencies

Experience and qualifications

Applicants should have a background in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline, along with experience in innovation management, product development, or a similar field.
